This week it's Mary from myhideaway. Mary is an artist based in Washington, D.C. She makes handmade felt brooches, colorful jewelry and accessories, as well as beautiful cards and journals. Her work incorporates many mediums, including drawing, painting, collage, and embroidery. Mary finds inspiration first and foremost in color, but also in fiction, nature, music, fairy tales, city life and the textures of the materials she works with. All of her pieces are hand cut from her own original patterns, and all her work is also 100% hand sewn. When Mary isn't working on a project, she likes to watch old movies, listen to music, read or blog.
